About this boat

Alice Rose – 52ft Traditional Narrowboat Alice Rose is a wonderful 52ft traditional stern narrowboat, built by Colecraft. Constructed with 8/6/4 steel plating and a flat bottom hull, she benefits from Kingspan insulation and ash ply cabin sides, creating a comfortable and durable living space. The hull has been maintained to a high standard, having been blacked in May 2025, and the baseplate has previously been over-plated with 6mm steel for extra peace of mind. Power comes from a reliable Barrus Shire 40hp four-cylinder diesel engine, serviced in September 2025, paired with a PRM 150 gearbox and keel cooling. Fuel is carried in a 150-litre tank, while water storage is generous at approximately 500 litres. The electrical system includes one starter and three leisure batteries, supported by 400w of solar panels with a Victron MPPT controller. Heating and hot water are provided by a solid fuel stove and a Cointra gas boiler, ensuring warmth throughout the seasons. Inside, Alice Rose offers plenty of room and practical layout. The galley features oak worktops, a Thetford Midi Prima cooker, and a Shoreline 12v fridge/freezer. Accommodation provides sleeping space for up to three people, with a fixed double bed plus a single bunk or sofa bed. The bathroom includes a cassette toilet, vanity basin, and a hip bath with a shower over. Her Boat Safety Certificate is valid until 2029, and she comes complete with a cratch cover and side hatch for added convenience. Moored in Staffordshire and ready to view by appointment only, Alice Rose presents a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for a spacious, well-maintained narrowboat. Certification: BUYERS & SELLERS When you buy a boat from us you pay all monies in to our company clients trust account which means that the buyers and sellers money is protected. This is the same account that solicitors set up for house sales .This money does not belong to the company it belongs to the buyer until the sale is complete and then we pay the seller from the company clients trust account. We cannot release the money from the Clients Trust Account to the seller until the vessel has been accepted and handed over to the buyer because if there was a fault with the vessel and the buyer refused to accept it and wanted their money back we could not do this because the seller would of already had the money. This could become a very costly and messy problem for all parties. This money never enters our company current account. This also means that we cannot use customers money for other purchases/reasons. If at any point the company went bust then the buyers/sellers money is safe and it would go back to the rightful owner of the money. We have had this company clients trust account set up from day one to protect our customers money. This account is a secure holding account. We pay the seller monies due from this account when the buyer has signed to accept the vessel. Payment is made from this account to the seller by cheque from the clients Trust Account which is protected guaranteed funds.
