About this boat

Siena is a 60ft 6in traditional stern narrow boat built by Jonathan Wilson of Sheffield in 2003 and subsequently fitted out by Classic Narrow boat in Wheelton. She is powered by a 1958 Gardner 2LW with PRM260 gearbox. Layout from entering at the front comprises of an open plan saloon with Morso Squirrel stove (new in 2024), small television and radio, two leather Captain’s chairs with footstools and a drop-down table and bench seat. Following on from this is a the galley with Vanette gas cooker and hob, under counter LEC 12v fridge, stainless steel sink/drainer and ample storage. The bedroom follows on from this with a 4ft 6in double bed with ample storage underneath, overhead cupboard and full-length wardrobe. The bathroom comprises of a vanity basin, Thetford cassette toilet, a full height shower with glass door and storage area. Next is the heart of the boat housing the Gardner engine which heats the water via a calorifier in a walk-through engine room. This also houses a Kabola boiler which heats the radiators and hot water via a separate calorifier. Following on is a traditional boatman’s cabin with an Epping range, cross bed and storage cupboards. Solid wood flooring has been used throughout, with tongue and groove Burmese Teak used forward of the engine room. There are two solar panels and a small inverter. Siena was commissioned by the current owners who will be parting with her after many happy years of boating. Hull blacked and four new anodes fitted in April 2026. Engine serviced in June 2026. Boat Safety Certificate expires October 2028.
