A rare luxury spec 2023 60’ Colecraft-built shell, serial electric hybrid, extended semi cruiser stern narrowboat. Tethys was fitted out to an very high specification by Oakums Narrowboats and extensively updated by owners since. She is ready for your new adventures in silent cruising. Painted in Aston Martin Ocellus Blue metallic paint, blacked with 2-pack and protected by four anodes, Tethys Solaris has successfully navigated over 1000 miles of waterways, including the Avon, Severn, Thames rivers. She was also featured in Narrow Escapes season 2. This is an exceptional boat offering a standard of luxury living not often found on the canals. The electric drive delivers silent cruising, hearing nothing but the occasional ripple of water against the hull and the sounds of birds signing along the canal. Exterior: Two large locking storage lockers are deep enough to hold all the accessories you need. One includes a double power outlet to charge phones etc as you’re traveling along. The rear bench seat includes recessed LED lighting for romantic evenings. Bow: The bow is enclosed with a light grey Titan Canopies bow cover to provide a bright seating area as well as storage access and the water fill point. Internally, Tethys Solaris has a reverse layout, with the galley at the rear. A mid-section saloon provides a comfy living area beneath an enormous opening skylight. Utility-Room (4ft 2in): A well-designed utility room is at the stern: Thermostatically controlled electronics cabinet to left side with a small seat and coat drying area. The sliding steps incorporate two extra storage spaces. On the right are storage cupboards and a full-size, high efficiency, wi-if enabled 8kg washing machine (Hoover H-Wash 500). A solid oak door with obscured glazing provides excellent draft protection between the main cabin and the mud room. Galley kitchen (7ft 8in): The large galley features white quartz work surfaces, antique mirrored backsplash and a large opening skylight ensure the galley is bright and airy. There are plenty of cabinets to store crockery, cookware and food for long-distance cruising. There’s LED lighting in-cabinet, under cabinet and at floor level plus individually controlled, dimmable micro-spotlights in the ceiling. Dinette (6ft 6in): A Pullman style dinette provides seating for four and optionally converts to a double bed. The area includes under-seat and under-floor storage. Saloon (9ft 2in): The central salon area provides comfortable seating on a custom-made L-shape lounger which converts to a double bed. A central Refleks diesel stove gives additional warmth on cold winter evenings. Bathroom (5ft 8in): The luxury bathroom makes you thankful for the 900L freshwater tank and 110L of hot water because showering has never felt so good on a narrowboat! The new twin-head Hans Grohe rain shower provides perfect temperature control and the feel of a power shower with minimal water usage. Bedroom: The bedroom incorporates a slide-out king size bed with plenty of storage beneath. The extending orthopedic mattress comes with a luxury 3” mattress topper. Two double and one single closet offer plenty of storage for clothes. Digital Connections and Security: Four remotely accessible Google cameras are fitted to the bow, stern, kitchen and bedroom to provide additional peace of mind when you’re away from the boat. Five Google smart speakers throughout the boat provide the ability to setup your smart sound system as you like. A Google Nest thermostat also provides remote access control to the heating system. (Google subscription required). An Alexa Show 15 provides smart TV and more in the galley. A large laptop-size Yale combination safe is included as well as a hidden key lockbox for storing spare keys. Tethys Solaris is an absolute must see!
