An unique opportunity to buy ‘Nice One’, a traditionally designed 40 foot Hartford Harnser widebeam measuring 12.19 metres in length and 3.05 metres breadth, providing everything needed for effortless continuous cruising or shore based living. ‘Nice One’ is one of only nine Hartford Harnser wide beam boats built in the 1980s specifically of a size to be able to navigate the locks on the River Great Ouse. It has a double berth (130cm) bed which can be extended to 170cm. In the past year it has had 6 replacement windows in the stern canopy and a new calorifier fitted providing plenty of hot water and a bathroom revamp with an electric Thetford bench cassette toilet, for which there is a spare cassette. The bathroom also has a shower with a recently fitted new thermostat control. In the galley area there is a good-sized gas oven and four hobs providing ample cooking facilities, an integrated 12v fridge/freezer and plumbing for a washing machine. The water pump has been replaced this year. It has a diesel heater which has proved more than adequate to heat the whole boat even on the coldest days in winter. If the new owner wishes to reinstate a wood burning stove there is already a chimney in place although not currently used. There is also a gas powered heating boiler and radiator although this is not currently connected but was checked as part of the Boat Safety survey in March 2025. It has a Sterling Power inverter/charger allowing for 240v and 12v operation. It comes with a Boat Safety Certificate dated 7th March 2025 (expires March 2029). The hull has recently (October 2025) been professionally blacked and 4 anodes added.
