A genuinely rare opportunity. Almost certainly the only Chris-Craft XK22 in the UK, and one of just 230 ever built worldwide between 1971 and 1976. The XK22 was among the first fibreglass boats ever commercialised by Chris-Craft and remains one of the most collectable American classics of its era. The hull was designed by Jim Wynne: offshore racing champion, winner of the 1966 Cowes-Torquay race, the man who patented the lifting strake, and who built the first commercial sterndrive propulsion system. The deck and interior styling came from Dick Avery, recruited by Chris-Craft from Ford's design studio in Detroit, where he had been part of the original Mustang design team. The result is a boat with genuine character: purposeful, fast, and unlike anything else on UK waters.
